"El Reflejo" with Amigos de la Ópera de La Coruña

Tickets are already for sale for our next premiere of El Reflejo, a theatrical monologue with musical scenes from La Tribuna, on September 10, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. at the Teatro Colón in La Coruña. With this production, Amigos de la Ópera de La Coruña join the commemorative events of the centenary of the death of Emilia Pardo Bazán. For this occasion, they will have a first class cast, with the actress Estíbaliz Veiga appearing as Emilia Pardo Bazán herself and the soprano Virginia Tola singing scenes from Amparo – the main role of La Tribuna – accompanied by Alfredo Abbati on the piano. All this staged by the young director Emilio López. The playwright Javier Ozores Marchesi guides us through the main aspects of Pardo Bazán's life, which surprisingly fit many features of one of her most emblematic literary characters: Amparo, La Tribuna. We hope very much that this event – which will be followed by several performances in other cities – will help us keep the momentum of our efforts for future premiere of the full opera!
